Site
Brief description of site: The site is on a rock shelter halfway up a rock face, part of which is deeply recessed and appears to have been occupied even in modem times. The site is well sheltered and shaded, providing an ideal habitation site. Inside of shelter is a slightly secluded but easily accessible. Looking into trees, Twaluba can be seen opposite the site.
Brief description of art: The site consists of 4 filled animal designs. One executed in purple and overlain by dots is a fairly naturalistic feline, probably a leopard judging by it's tail. The second is an odd four legged creature with a featureless head other than an open mouth. The third is also undiagnostic and is overlain by short vertical lines. Only rear section of fourth remains. There is also a circle with externally radiating lines executed by finger and a high (360cm) spread-eagled design which gives the impression of a depiction of a man.

Brief description of site: A surface on a boulder protected by a small overhanging lip. At edge of hill facing outwards towards Ubwafya, looking into trees. No shade, no shelter, merely a suitable surface. Easily accessible.
Brief description of art: A set of concentric circles, a circle and two dots. Applied by finger in red, now faint.

Brief description of site: A boulder in the centre of the rock area amongst a group of other boulders. 2m2 surface poorly protected. Can only be seen from nearby. No shade, no shelter, easily accessible.
Brief description of art: Two filled circles, a filled circle with externally radiating lines, a circle with three vertical internal divisions, a circle with a single internal vertical division and a circle with externally radiating line. Also a filled bat-like design but so faint as to be unclear. All executed by finger in red.

Brief description of site: A large boulder at the corner of Milima hill. One side is extensively overhung but surface is very uneven and rough, this has not been painted. Pictographs found on two flat, vertical, surfaces adequately protected by small overhangs on another side of boulder. Shaded seating possible in a number of places and limited shelter under larger overhang. Looking into trees and other rocks, easily accessible.
Brief description of art: Many and varied. Including: a large curving horizontal sausage shape with multiple internal vertical divisions. Many concentric circles, some overlapping, some with lines or short rows of dots radiating from their base, some with lines radiating all around. Also two horizontally stretched circles with a single internal division and lines radiating downwards which are joined at their base. Also various sets of parallel lines, both vertical and horizontal. All except sausage shape applied by brush in red. Brushed motifs similar in nature to motifs found at ZAM-MWA50, ZAM-MWA50, ZAM-MWA50. In a few motifs there is a suggestion of an original white filling in between the red lines, the uncertainty stems from the possibility that the white stains may be caused by water and pigment reacting.

Brief description of site: Curving rows of dots applied by finger in varying shades of red. Also a set of parallel horizontal lines.
Brief description of art: On a boulder lying to the north of ZAM-MWE20. Boulder has a hollow centre which provides both shade and shelter for two or three persons. Pictographs are found at the entrance and on the low ceiling of this shelter. View from boulder is into trees and other rocks. Easily accessible.

Brief description of site: A squat boulder with a number of small protected surfaces inset near ground level. Two of these have been painted on. Boulder sits among other rocks near edge of hill, it provides limited shade and no shelter. Easily accessible.
Brief description of art: a set of parallel vertical lines with sets of parallel horizontal lines running off from either side, two pairs of vertical lines with vertical rows of dots in between, all applied by brush in red. A circle divided internally with 4 vertical lines applied by finger in red. On
another surface are two miniature animal depictions (3-4cm in length), of uncertain species similar to those at found at ZAM-MWW76 and ZAM-MWW113.

Brief description of site: A low surface inset into a squat boulder close to ZAM-MWE22. Sitting amongst other boulders, looking into rocks and trees. There is no shade, no shelter, merely a suitable clean surface. Easily accessible.
Brief description of art: 2 vertical rows of upwards pointing V shapes, one with a central vertical line. Various dots and vertical lines, all applied by finger in red, now faint.

Brief description of site: 3m2 surface on boulder, poorly protected by narrow overhanging lip. Within the hill among boulders and rocks, almost no view. No shade nor shelter, easily accessible.
Brief description of art: Two faint remnants of filled animal designs, now heavily eroded. Over these lie some vertical rows of dots, vertical lines and a circle. Over all these lie a stick design that may be intended to represent a person and a circle with a vertical line through it.
Animals brushed, all other designs applied by finger. Below is a faded filled bat-like design.

Brief description of site: The site is on a rock shelter recessed high up within a large rock-face, accessible with difficulty up a small gully and over a slanting surface. Shelter provides protection from sun and rain and would have made an excellent habitation site. Well secluded, hard to see from ground level. Looking over treetops to Muyayaya.
Brief description of art: The art consists of 5 concentric circles, a grid, a circle with external radiating lines, a complex linear motif comprised of a segmented circle and curving line, rows of dots, various vertical and parallel lines along with unidentifiable splodges, all executed by finger in red.

Brief description of site: The site is on a large (10m2) surface under long overhanging rock-face. Hidden in centre of hill
amongst many boulders therefore no view. Pleasant shaded seating but limited shelter. Readily accessible but hard to find.
Brief description of art: 8 bat-like designs each slightly different, all filled and applied by brush in red. Also a single horizontal row of red dots applied by finger.

Brief description of site: On boulder west of ZAM-MWE25. The boulder indents deeply a few metres above ground level, this area is accessible along a sloping ledge. Most of surface very rough, pictographs executed on small smooth area. Boulder sits amongst other boulders and thus has no view. Painted surface hard to see from anywhere other than on ledge. Indented area provides
pleasant shaded seating and some protection.
Brief description of art: Various horizontal rows of dots and a set of parallel lines. Applied by finger in red.

Brief description of site: The site is on a large boulder that bulges out towards its top providing a number of small protected surfaces, five of which have been painted on. Boulder sits on edge of hill looking in trees and other rocks. Shade provided but no shelter, easily accessible.
Brief description of art: Mostly rows of dots, some curving. Also a set of concentric half circles open at base, a set of parallel vertical lines and a set of parallel horizontal lines. All applied by finger in red.
