Brief description of site: Small open shelter on a small granite outcrop very near village cultivated fields, but relatively far from the village. The shelter is 2.4m wide with a south west outlook towards OTA1. Brief description of art: Circular motif in red monochrome pigment. Appears finger painted. Other images have faded a bit, but there are very faint traces.
Brief description of site: The Shelter is at the base of a large granite outcrop. The shelter is long about 16m wide, relatively shallow with a south westerly outlook, very close to the village fields. Brief description of art: Red finger painted motif of an animal form. A single image occupying probably 1 fifth of the whole panel surface.
Brief description of site: A very large boulder with a fairly long overhang and a large panel surface measuring approximately 7.50m wide and 20m high. It has a cave approximately 9.35m deep. North of the cave is about 150m high narrowing to about 100m at the end. The site faces north west and is surrounded by bushes and small granite outcrops. Brief description of art: There are approximately 15 images in red pigment mainly covering an area to the left and center of the panel surface. These images are difficult to reach, approximately 7m above the ground and higher up. To the far end of the shelter is a geometric image in white that appears to have been part of a larger motif.
Brief description of site: The site is well shaded by a large boulder that covers it at a plus minus 30° angle looking out across the plains and the mission to Nyero. Brief description of art: The images are not very clear and cannot easily be seen unless you get very close to them. The images are probably finger painted or brushed in red monochrome and one orange monochrome layered image.
Brief description of site: This is an open site, directly exposed to the rain and the mid morning sun. Looking out across the plains, fields and village below. The site appears to have always been exposed but being rather high it could have been covered by tree top cover from the trees below, high of the village path. Brief description of art: Facing the boulder to the left are traces of red monochrome pigment left off from a larger image (probably) now unclear from washed salts. The images are two oval shapes and one L shaped (solid) line drawing. The central motif is an outline almost 'crossed' shaped figure similar to UGA-MUK3. To the right of this image is an outline of a circle. Below the 'cross-like' motif is a crescent shape as well as a circular shape. All the images are faint and the rough surface of the panel makes them very difficult to see. The paintings can only be seen when one is very close to the panel. There does not appear to be any overlays.
Brief description of site: It is a small boulder with a slight ledge, nicely shaded and looking across the fields to Moru-Ikara Primary school. The site was probably well concealed when the bush was thicker. The shelter has a broken peice of rock that forms a good seat. The shelter measures 4m wide and 180m high. Brief description of art: The motif is in red monochrome and appears to have been painted by a combination of brush and finger painting. There also appears to be overlays of pigment. Half the surface is covered with an image in red monochrome. The image is a unique motif , there are probably other parts that could suggest a similarity with other sites that have been lost in the wash.
Brief description of site: The site is 7.80m wide, 2.25m high and 5.30m deep. There is a total painted area of 3.20m. Brief description of art: The images appear to be finger painted and in white.
