Brief description of art: Here is the painting that people call the 'Indian', a large 30-45cm tall red painting of a man facing left and holding a stick in the right hand and disproportionately small bow and arrows in the left hand. The arms are raised with elbows bent in a posture I have noted from the Drakensberg and Eastern Cape Province. There is also a six-fingered hand print and the remains of striding figures. There is at least one row of fingerdots, possibly two. Then there is a set of paintings that look like people hunting kudu.

How to find the site: The site is North-facing, on the southern curve of the elephant head mountain in a sort of 'sinkhole'. The overhang is about 10 to 15 m deep, with rock floor and semi-circular back wall.
