Brief description of site: A well hidden shelter near the top of Chibenthu hill in the form of a wide covered
passage way between two large boulders. East end is a shear cliff face with fine views over
valley area to Chencherere. Ideal secluded habitation/hiding place. Local people say that the
shelter used to be used for storing nyau constructions. When we visited shelter it had been
used recently. Signs of bedding, a bat catching net and a large rack for barbecuing bats.
Brief description of art: 6 unusual designs. 4 appear to depict humans. 1 is a zoomorphic design and the other appears to be a human riding some form of animal. All are very simple and crude applied by daubing in white. All are in similar well preserved state of preservation but
variation in artistic style suggest6 work of various painters. (Members of my team offered the opinion that these pictographs depicted nyau characters).
