History
Brief description of site: The shelter contains a number of unique images and is characterised by a very large number of antelope and a good number of human images. Mazel accounted for 175 images within the shelter in 1980 and it seems that a good many of these are still visible in much the same condition. Much of the art is very faded and exfoliated due to water seepage and generally damp conditions around the main panel, which has mineral and organic deposits on the rock face plus wet loving ferns growing within the shelter ledges on the left (looking in) side of shelter, below which is a pool of water with lichen. The shelter back wall is very uneven, hence the name of this site but many of the images are high up on the rockface. Large rocks in front of the painted panels and trees screening the front of the shelter offer protection against fire threats. Some graffiti writing has been scratched thickly onto the shelter wall on the far right side. One stone artfefact located on shelter floor.
