Background of the Recorder:AFEBAT is the French association for the study of the TXAM Bushmen artists in Lesotho, and was created in 1901. The association houses all of the records pertaining to rock art recordings and note books made by the Ellenberger family in Lesotho between 1930 and 1970. AFEBAT pays homage to the tree generation family of missionaries, which dedicated their lives to the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of Lesotho.
